Have an age indicator in your bio.

This is important if you are following NSFW accounts or are one yourself. Many NSFW accounts will block accounts without some indication of age in their bio.

It doesnt have to be your exact age. It just has to show in some way that you are definitely over 18. For example: 'Yoongi's age', 'millenial', 'over 20', etc.

ALT Text

Use ALT text on all your images!

Bluesky has more of a culture of accessability, and many users won't repost image posts that don't have ALT text. This is extra important for artists trying to increase their reach!

Bluesky has a feature built in that you can turn on so that you must add ALT text to be able to post an image, without ALT text it wont let you post. This is helpful if you tend to forget to add ALT text.

on bluesky go to settings, accessability, and tick 'require ALT textbefore posting', then you can click the +ALT icon over images before posting to add ALT text

Hashtags

Use Hashtags!
Bluesky doesn't have algorithms like twitter. Some feeds might, but the default timeline doesn't. This means you have to rely on things like hashtags and reposts for reach.

Remember, capitalizing each word in a hastags helps with accessability! It helps screen readers know to read things as separate words instead of one word.

#BtsFest
#BtsRpf

You can now use a hashtag in your bio as a feed for your art and writing instead of a feed with something like skyfeed!

IF YOU'RE READING THIS: feeds have been DEPRECIATED. you no longer need to go through all this! just tag your art using a hashtag, and then put that in your bio, so users can search for it, like on tumblr. It doesn't even have to be unique. like so:
